Constituents

Research
It is reported to be antispasmodic against bronchosapsm induced by acetylcholine and barium chloride.[1]
Plumbagin has a number of interesting actions; it is antimicrobial in vitro against some gram-positive protozoa.[2] It is active against some specis of Leishmania.[3] In large doses plumbagin is cytotoxic, but in small doses has immunostimulating activity in vitro.[4]
