FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Tonify 
1. Nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin, enriches Kidney Jing, Clears Deficiency Fire, Drains Damp-Heat.
INDICATIONS: Kidney Yin deficiency with hyperactivity of Yang (Deficiency Heat): Flushes face or red cheeks, low-grade or tidal fever or afternoon fever, dry mouth and throat, thirst, pain and weakness of the lower back and knees, dizziness or light headedness, poor sleep, mental restlessness, nocturnal sweating, heat in the five hearts, overactive libido, nocturnal emissions, thrst, T- red with little or thin yellow coat P- rapid or rapid and thready
APPLICATIONS: Tinnitus, involuntary seminal emissions, diabetes mellitis, urethritis, cystitis, nephritis, chronic respiratory tract infection, menstrual idsorders, leukorrhea

Poria cocos- 茯苓 Fú líng- Hoelen wood fungus
Alisma plantago- 泽泻 Zé xiè- Water plantain tuber, Alisma
Paeonia suffruticosa- 牡丹皮 Mǔ dān pí- Tree peony
Dioscorea oppositifolia 山药 Shān Yao- Chinese Yam
Cornus officinalis- 山茱萸 Shān Yū Roú Cornelian Cherry
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Excess Heat patterns, Spleen Qi deficiency symptoms such as digestive problems and loose stools
COMMENTS : This formula is a variant of Lui wei di huang wan- Rehmannia Six Formula, and is used to treat Kidney deficiency with pronounced signs of Deficiency Heat or Fire. It is also used in cases with Kidney Yin Deficiency and Damp Heat in the Lower Jiao with symptoms of dysuria or vaginal discharge.
