FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Expel Dampness
1. Clears Damp-Heat, purges Fire, unblocks painful urinary dysfunction and promotes diuresis.
INDICATIONS
1. Heat and Damp in Lower Jiao: frequent urination, hot sensation in urinary tract, lower abdominal distension, dry mouth, sore throat. T- Red with yellow coat. P- Slippery and Rapid. There may also be constipation, lower abdominal distension and pain.
APPLICATIONS: Cystitis, glomerulonepthritis, prostatitis, urinary tract calculi, urethritis, vaginal discharge, stomachtitis

Akebia trifoliata 白木通 Bai mù tōng- Trifoliate Akebia
Dianthus superbus- 瞿麦 Qú mài- Proud pink, Dianthus
Gardenia jasminoides- 栀子 Zhī zǐ- Cape Jasmine fruit
Plantago asiatica- 车前子Chē qián zǐ CHE QIAN ZI- Plantago seed
Polygonum aviculare- 扁蓄 Biǎn Xù- Knotgrass
Glycyrrhiza uralensis- 甘草 Gān cǎo- Chinese Licorice
Rheum tanguticum- 大黄 Dà huáng- Rhubarb
Phellodendron chinense- 黄柏 Huáng Bǎi- Phellodendron
Lysimachia christinae- 金千草 Jīn qiān căo- Lysimachia
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Deficient Syndromes and during pregnancy.
COMMENTS : Higher dose is indicated for acute conditions.
