INDICATIONS: Deficiency of Qi and Blood: Fatigue, anorexia, chilliness, blurred vision, numb extremities, poor sleep, loss of appetite, loose stools, pale or sallow complexion, lack-luster skin, palpitations, nervous system disorders. T- pale with thin white coat. P- weak and thready or soft.
Used for anemia due to deficiency of Qi and Blood, PMT, heavy menstrual bleeding, and abdominal pain during menstruation nourishes Vital Qi (energy) and benefits Blood. Other symptoms of deficiency of both Qi and Blood are marked by pale or sallow complexion, palpitation, shortness of breath, lethagy, general weakness, dizziness, loss of appetite and pale tongue.
APPLICATION: Anemia, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, dysmonorrhea, uterine bleeding, chronic abscess, postpartum conditions, chronic diseases.

Atractylodes macrocephala 白术 Bái zhú- White Atractylodes
Poria cocos- 茯苓 Fú líng- Hoelen fungus
Paeonia lactiflora- 白芍 Bái sháo- White Peony root
Glycyrrhiza uralensis-甘草 Gān cǎo- Licorice
Ligusticum chuanxiong- 川芎 Chuān xiōng- Szechuan Lovage Root, Cnidium
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Yin deficiency, Heat and Phlegm Syndromes.
COMMENTS: This formula tonifies the Qi and the Blood equally and can be used as a replacement of iron tablets in cases with iron deficiency anemia.
Dosage: 8 pills 3 times/day with water.
