Cedarwood was prized by the ancient Egyptians for its skin preserving and aromatic qualities. Cedarwood has a warming, woody - balsamic scent that calms and promotes restfulness. Its sedative effects make it useful in reducing stress and easing nervous tension and anxiety. Used in a vaporizer or steam inhalation, soothes conditions such as bronchitis, coughs, sinusitis and congestion. Has astringent and antiseptic qualities that make it useful in treating oily skin conditions, dermatitis, dandruff and seborrhoea of the scalp.
Mixes well with Bergamot, Cinnamon, Frankincense, Juniper, Lavender, Neroli, Patchouli, Peppermint, Rose, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang and Vetiver.
Vaporizer mix for emotional distress: 3 drops Cedarwood, 2 drops Peppermint, 2 drops Patchouli. *Do not use during pregnancy.
