SYNDROMES: Liver- Spleen disharmony. Qi stagnation and Blood stasis
ACTIONS: Nourishes Blood, Tonifes Qi, Regulates the Liver Qi to releive pain, strengthens Spleen to eliminate Dampness.
INDICATIONS: Liver Blood deficiency with Stagnation of Qi and Blood and Internal Retention of Dampness: Abdominal pain during pregnancy (which is continuous and cramping), restless fetus syndrome, abdominal distension, lower back pain, dizziness, oliguria, slight edema of lower limbs, discomfort of intercostal area, irregular menstruation, profuse menstrual flow, vaginal discharge. T- pale with thick white coating. P- thready or weak.
APPLICATIONS: Threatened miscarriage, pregnancy and post-partum disorders, infertility, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, menopausal syndrome, post-hysterectomy syndrome, malposition of fetus, anemia, chronic pelvic inflammation, chronic nephritis, beriberi.

Ligusticum chuanxiong- 川芎 Chuān xiōng- Szechuan Lovage Root, Cnidium
Alisma plantago- 泽泻 Zé xiè- Water plantain tuber, Alisma
Atractylodes macrocephala 白术 Bái zhú- White Atractylodes
Angelica polymorpha- 当归 Dāng guī- Angelica
