FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Stabilize and Astringe 1. Enriches the Yin, clears Heat, secures the exterior to stop sweating.
INDICATIONS
1. For deficiency of Yin and Blood and hyperactivity of Fire: Fever,
night sweating, flushed face, dry mouth, thirst, restlessness, dry stools, dark
and scanty urine T- red and dry with thin yelllow coat P- rapid. APPLICATIONS: Pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic febrile diseases
(eg hepatitis, bronchitis) cholecystitis, nephritis, urinary tract infections,
silicosis, hyperthyroidism, myocarditis, neurasthenia. INGREDIENTS Angelica
polymorpha- 当归 Dāng guī- Angelica Coptis
chinensis- 黄连 Huáng Lián- Coptis root Scutellaria
baicalensis- 黄芩 Huáng Qín- Baical Scullcap
root Astragalus
propinquus-黃耆Huáng qí-Astragalus Rehmannia
glutinosa- 生地黃 Shēng dì huáng- Fresh Rehmannia Rehmannia
glutinosa- 熟地黃 Shú Dì Huáng- Cooked Rehmannia Phellodendron
chinense- 黄柏 Huáng Bǎi- Phellodendron CONTRAINDICATIONS: Use cautiously for Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiency
with digestive problems or loose stools. COMMENTS : This formula is used to treat night sweating associated
with either of two patterns: Yin Deficiency with hyperactive Fire, or Deficient
Wei (defence) Qi together with Heat excess which has injured the Yin.
