3. Mastitis and other pus forming diseases.[1] PREPARATIONS:Decoction.
Whole plant 15-30 g for each dose, or crushed with white wine. For external
use, crush and use a suitable amount as a poultice.[1]
HABITAT: Found growing in fertile and
moist grassy areas or in small shrub thickets along ditch edges. DESCRIPTION: Perennial herb. Stem; erect, purplish-red when young with
multiple branches, longitudinally ridged. Basal leaves; clustered margins dentate
or pinnately compound, surface dark green, underside purplish-red. Leaves along
upper arm; alternate, pinnately compound, margins of lobes shallowly parted or
crenate, points acute or acuminate. Bloom; in autumn, golden yellow flowers grow
from the top of stem, in capitulate inflorescences. Achene; keeled. References
