FUNCTIONS
1. Expand the Lung, expel Sputum.[1]
2. Warm up the Middle Jiao, benefit Qi.[1] Promote energy circulation and relieve congestion.[1]
INDICATIONS
1. Cold sputum, cough with difficulty in expelling sputum,  congested chest.[1,2] Mucus discharge.[2]
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Carbuncle, eye diseases, piles, discharge of blood from anus, extremely hot physical conditions.[1] Hot symptoms.[2]
PREPARATIONS: Fresh leaves. Boil or fresh juice.[1]

- Cure pulmonary abscess and bronchiectasis and laryngitis- Cook preserved leaf mustard and eat 30 g a day.[2]

NOTES: leaf mustard can relieve congestion because it has a warm energy and tastes puntgent, which are the two important components fo foods that are used to promote energy circulation and relieve congestion of various kinds.[2]

PREPARATIONS
- Cough with mucous discharge- Boil 5 g fried leaf mustard seeds as tea to cure chronic bronchitis.[2]
