FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Qi regulating
1. Spreads the Liver Qi, clear Heat, harmonises the Liver and the Spleen, soothes irritability.
INDICATIONS
1. Liver Qi stagnation with Heat or Fire, Liver attacking the Spleen: Restlessness, irritability, overactive behavior, emotional volatility, dream disturbed sleep, yellow or dark colored urine, red face or lips. T- red or red tipped which may have a yellow coat P- rapid. There may also be constipation or diarrhea.
APPLICATIONS: Hyperactivity, insomnia with night terrors

Bupleurum chinensis- 柴胡 Chái hú- Bupleurum root
Paeonia lactiflora- 白芍 Bái sháo- White peony root
Juncus effusus- 灯芯草 Dēng xīn cǎo- Soft rush
Gardenia jasminoides- 栀子  Zhī zǐ- Cape Jasmine fruit
Morus alba- 桑叶 Sāng yè- Mulberry Leaf  
Ledebouriella divaricata- 防风 Fáng fēng- "Protect wind"- Siler
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Yin deficiency, Qi deficiency, Yang deficiency
COMMENTS : This formula is designed to treat hyperactive children with excess Heat and Liver Qi stagnation.
