FUNCTIONS

1. Drains excess Fire from the Liver and Gallbladder, clears Damp-Heat from the San Jiao
INDICATIONS:
1. Liver and Gall Bladder Fire flaring upward: Headache, hypochondrial or chest pain, bitter taste in mouth, red eyes, swollen and painful ears, sudden tinnitus or deafness, vomiting sour or bitter fluid, flushed face, dry and hard stools, T-red with yellow coating P- wiry rapid.
2. Dampness and Heat in the Liver Channel: cloudy urine, painful urination, the external genital organs may be hot, swollen, and itching, yellow malodorous vaginal dishcarge. T- red with yellow and greasy coat P- wiry or slippery and rapid.
APPLICATIONS: Acute boils and carbuncles or the nose or ears, hypertension, acute hepatitis, acute cholecystitis, herpes zoster, acute pyelitis, acute cystitis, urethritis, acute pubic inflammation, acute prostatitis, scrotal eczema, swollen testes, leukorrhea, and swollen and sore vulva.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Qi and Yin deficiency, poor digestion and loose stools.
