FUNCTIONS
 1. Warms the Lung, eliminates Phlegm-Fluid Retention, relieves coughing.
INDICATIONS
1. Phlegm- Fluid retention in the Lung: Cough, profuse thin white sputum, dyspnea, chest congestion, nausea or vomiting, cold extremities T- pale and moist P- deep slow and thready.
APPLICATIONS: Asthma, hayfever, chronic bronchitis, nepthritis, emphysema, bronchiectasis.
INGREDIENTS
Zingiber officinale- 干姜 Gān jiāng-  Dried Ginger
Pinellia ternata- 半夏 Bàn xià- Pinellia
Poria cocos- 茯苓 Fú líng- Hoelen wood fungus
Asarum heterotropoides- 细辛 Xì xīn- Wild ginger
Glycyrrhiza uralensis-甘草 Gān cǎo- Chinese Licorice
CONTRAINDICATIONS- Excessive patterns such as Heat.
COMMENTS: This formula is used to treat Lung disorders due to an underlying deficiency of Spleen Yang which causes the retention of Phlegm and Fluids. The Phlegm and Fluids setttle in the Lung, resulting in the productive cough etc, however this condition originates in the middle Jiao.
